I bet they detune the hell out of the power at “start” so you don’t? lose traction, I’d love to see one with full torque at 1mph

  12. AUSTiNKiNSER says:

You know, I get a kick? out of everyone saying “Oh, well 10 seconds isn’t bad at all!” Then, when you get on a Prius, or any other video with a car that does 0-60 in the same time, the same people are there talking shit. I think that’s funny.

  13. AUSTiNKiNSER says:

@gradxg You say that it performs better than a Prius, and I’m being civil, but where do you get your facts? We have both a Prius and a Volt, and while I love them both, the Prius has better overall performance. My Prius hits 60mph in? 10.1 seconds, same as the Volt, however, the Volt’s top speed is only 101mph, while the Prius does 115mph.

  14. DystruktoBoi1 says:

@AUSTiNKiNSER 14MPH? faster at top speed (when you can legally drive only 75 MPH) is probably not what they were basing economy car performance on.

  15. AUSTiNKiNSER says:

@DystruktoBoi1 I understand your statement, and lord knows I never drive the cars that fast. I have? before, I won’t lie, but I don’t do it regularly. I’m just saying that I think it’s funny that people will get on here and watch a 0-60 test of an Insight, Prius, or another economy car that has the same 0-60 time as the Volt, and they bash them all, calling them slow pieces of crap, and then you get on the Volt’s 0-60, and then you see “Well that’s not bad at all!” I’m all confused lol.

  16. DystruktoBoi1 says:

@AUSTiNKiNSER Well to be honest, while I do enjoy these 0-60 runs, never would I buy something like a Prius, Volt, Leaf, or anything like that because they have the best 0-60 time, that is the reason for Pony cars or Muscle Sedans (like the G8s and the Chargers) I’d buy my? Eco-car based on room, comfort, upkeep costs, style and of course, gas mileage. Although I will also say that Eco cars do not have to be so underpowered, I’ve got a 2003 Bonneville with a V6, making 33MPG highway w/small mods.

  17. AUSTiNKiNSER says:

@DystruktoBoi1 I completely understand what your saying. Some cars just aren’t meant for certain people. In my case, the Prius is perfect for me, hence, that’s why I don’t drive the Volt, because the Volt is good for him. The Prius is a mid-sized car that has the same interior volume as a Camry, yet it’s outside dimensions make it look small, but don’t be fooled. It’s acceptably fast, I get around 48 miles per gallon, and it’s comfortable and entertaining to drive? to me.

  18. AUSTiNKiNSER says:

@DystruktoBoi1 So? I’m sure your Bonneville if perfect for you, because you like your car to be faster than some, it’s a decent sized vehicle, and it doesn’t break the bank because you get good gas mileage. I’m glad you love it it, just like I love my Prius. What I don’t like though is when people automatically assume that I’m a hippie for driving a Prius, there’s other reasons why I like the car. I like the technology, it’s packed full of it. I like the styling, it’s different and looks apart.

  19. CowboyDiplomacy says:

If I bought a hybrid, or whatever you want to call the Volt, it would be the Volt. But after owning my Cobalt, I have vowed to never buy a car that doesn’t have at least 220 bhp and a V6. Next car is probably going to be a Dodge Charger SRT8. Just can’t enjoy these? cars.

  20. FordHaten says:

A prius is? a small car definitely NOT a midsized car…

  21. form109 says:

    Pretty? Quick.

  22. Xx11HaloGuy11xX says:

Does it really? matter for a car of this uh “nature”?

  23. zacheryds says:

@MrKeshab95 i think it? sucks. how are u suppose to merge on the highway

  24. ilk123 says:

IDC if its 9 seconds. The fact that its a production car thats a full electric motor changes everything. Props to chevy.?

  25. danraich says:

    I counted 6-7? sec.
