@carguy379 I4s were never supposed to go over 2.3L i think. The balance becomes? off.
@yellowcow13 ive never heard that, and 2.4 and 2.5? liters are some of the most common 4 cyls
@xoquixxoqafxo I agree. The sonata is somewhat quick on shifting, but I do? believe the Accord has it beat…
@carguy379 I red in? a somewhat recent Car and Driver that larger four cyls need balancing shafts and things like that to keep vibes down.
@yellowcow13 actually all engines need balancing shafts except I6′s and V12s,? 4 cyls just happen to be the roughest engines
@carguy379 If a v6 has the correct width in the? vally it shouldnt
@yellowcow13 im not exactly a genius? in this are but i believe you are right, it depends on the angle of the block
@carguy379 Im no pro but if? anyone is feel free to inform me
I timed? it with my phone and got a 7.69secs 0-60
@4MATICbenz? subarus… cobalt SS/TC
@soylentgreeneater
No, not even close.
The 2.0T in the Sonata traps 99MPH. The 2.0T CC doesn’t even come remotely close to that.
Where in the hell? are you getting your 100% false information from???
@soylentgreeneater And your? proof?
I love how the mpg? gauge only drops .1 miles per gallon lol.
@Motorchevytoyota Not really, if it was instantaneous, it would’ve gone down to like? 10mpg. That small of an increase is too little of an increment when you’re flooring the car.
@Motorchevytoyota my durango gets 1-2MPG flooring it through first gear, and? 0 in 4-lo !
Better than? camry, worse then Altima!
Strange, same powertrain as my 2012 Forte5 SX, but every time I’ve calculated it, it seems about 0.5 seconds faster 0-60. I think it’s because? my forte shifts right before it hits 60, which adds a half a second to the 0-60 time. The slightly larger tires on the Sonata Limited may be the factor that is causing the difference.
7 seconds! that’s very good.?
@RaleTheBlade a shift isnt going to add half a second. maybe? .25. And larger tires can be worse because theyre heavier but the distance traveled can be greater so idk on that lol. Since the forte5 is a hatch, it may be heavier. It probably has a different transmission too with a different drive ratio.
@MangoSmoothie16 That’s true. I think it has a 4.19 axle ratio but I’m not 100% sure. If this Sonata is capable of 7.4 seconds? 0-60, my Forte should be about the same. Still, I’m splitting hairs here
7.4 seconds 0-60 isn’t exactly something to gloat about, hahaha.
@fx35fan2011 , the? Altima 2.5 is about a second slower. And it’s plagued an awful CVT transmission.
I have one of these as a rental for the week and it’s surprisingly quick for a 4-cylinder. Midrange punch from 40mph is impressive. However, the engine just does not? sound good in person at lower rpm. Almost like a diesel…
@RaleTheBlade I thought the forte didn’t have the direct injection 200hp version? of the 2.4…?
@ambientflier You know what, that may be? the difference… Dammit, Kia! Get with the program! lol
@RaleTheBlade Yeah, the kia’s? engine is something like 175hp or so. That would explain the times.
